    I love this jacket. Like most things I've bought from Columbia, it's very well made, well thought out and durable. I got the myrtle (purple) and the color is beautiful. I had a much earlier model of this Bugaboo jacket years ago until I wore it out (after years of use) and this is even better. It's versatile, with a zip-out liner than you can wear alone or zipped into the shell or you can wear the shell alone. I only wish it was a little bit warmer--but maybe a jacket can never really be as warm as a coat because there's less coverage. For slightly less bitingly cold days or rainy ones, this is just great. And STP's price is unbeatable.

    This is a good looking, warm coat. Seems like a good value for what it offers. The neck is especially warm and high -- better than average -- nice for someone like me who goes crazy when the wind whips down my neck. It's a bit bulky in the middle, but on the other hand, there's room for me to wear layers beneath, too. I'm not sure if this would be the best choice for activities that generate a lot of sweat -- changing the 3-in-1 setup on the fly would be a bit of a pain -- but it seems great for everyday stuff and up to things that get a little sticky.

    hi i bought this jacket prior to a trip to morocco. I am here now in mid-November and it is 70 in the day and 50 at night with no indoor heat in damp stone buildings that go down to 45 indoors. This piece with the zipout liner is perfect over a wool sweater for the coldest moments. Liner itself not as warm as fleece but with layering it does everything. Not an outdoorsy type, I usually pick style over function but here with the prevailing culture, a burlap sack would be the best choice - thank goodness Columbia and Sierra have provided me with a better option. Only way to improve it would be if there had been a more subdued color in my size - mulberry is ok for Chicago but a little colorful for Rabat.
