    [...] Jacket fits and looks great, put arm of jacket under the faucett and turned water on full force with my arm in sleeve to see if the water would seep through, but it never did, it is truly waterproof, will be great in the hard maryland rains, plus it is very comfortable and I love that it has a removable hood and fleece liner.

    I just got this in, and I'm looking forward to some cold weather to face off against. I've owned plenty of Columbia gear and I don't expect this coat's quality to be any less. The fleece liner is nice and simple and plenty warm for a nice Autumn day, while the shell makes a good heavier rain jacket. Put them together and you're ready to face some pretty adverse conditions! Overall all a good buy!

    I have many Columbia Sportswear products. Within the bounds of my experience they're excellent products for the price. This is THE best item I have from them. But I really needed a rain coat. Even by San Francisco standards I live in a foggy, cold, wet neighborhood. This is perfect for Summers in SF. I don't know about extremely cold mountainous climates but it kept me dry and warm on a rainy, very cold July weekend on the Pacific Coast in Point Reyes.
