    We don't get a tremendous amount of truly COLD weather in North Carolina but I suspect some of the other commenters may be correct that this parka may not be warm enough in really cold weather. It's great for wet weather and active use but, I noticed just standing outside on one of those few really cold (teens) mornings here in NC my back started to feel the cold. The fleece zip in/out lining isn't very heavy. Might need to layer with a vest type layer for more warth on really cold days if you're not being 'active'. Outside of that, I really like it.

    A really great jacket... I found the fleece, for me, a little more difficult to slide arms into and out of, verus say Columbia's Whirilibird Parka which has a smooth inner liner. A little snug fit, but I'm over-weight, drop a few pounds and the fit would be perfect. Would like to see some insulation in the hood. The fit and finish is terrific. Lifetime warranty against defects! A great company too... reps can and do answer any questions with ease and politeness.

    You can't beat the quality of Columbia jackets. My last Columbia jacket i have had for 8 years and is still holding up. None of seams have come loose, the zipper still works perfect and it is still warm. I purchased a diffrent brand jacket from one of the "Big Box Stores" last year, because the price was half of the Columbia jackets so i thought i would give it a try. The old saying you get what you pay for, became true. The quality was just not the same as the Columbia brand. I am a true believer of the Columbia brand jackets.

    Besides being a great deal this coat is real sharp looking and very adaptable. I wasn't sold on the 3 in one feature but on a recent trip to Texas it really came in handy on the golf course.
