    I would not use it to trek only because you need to be very agile and these shorts are built to hold tools to hike, camp, or fish. So, no trail running or trekking. Other then that I am very pleased with these shorts and they're holding up despite my various uses.

    Didn't even bother taking it out of the plastic, doesn't have the rugged construction of cotton canvas or the lightweight breathability of a synthetic. The waistband looks like it will lose its stretch easily.
