    Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
    I saw this vest in white in a store so I knew exactly what to expect. I ordered a large, my usual size, and it fits perfectly. Sleeve holes are a good size for wearing a sweater beneath if you choose to do so. I like it for casual and work wear with a long sleeved shirt underneath, but wouldn't expect it to be an "outside" vest for warmth, at least not here in Vermont. It might be okay in fall or spring, when it's just a bit chilly or could be layered with sweaters and heavier wear, but I think it's more suitable for inside. The fleece part is soft and appears to be a nice fleece, but I haven't washed it yet to see if it will pill or how it holds up in the wash. It has a nice patterned quilted look (zoom in to details). The sale price makes it a good bargain but I'm not sure I would want to pay full price.

    I like the color (Rasberry jam) but the fit of the vest for me was not great. I am 5'9" 140 with an average to long torso. I bought a small which fit but was still boxy looking, I believe that was due to the vest being too short. It fell just above my hip almost at my waist. This caused me to look stocky even though I am tall. I would not recommend this vest to folks who are above 5'6". I have other Columbia stuff and nothing I have is this short--I was really disappointed. It is going back!

    The diamond pattern stiching is very nice - flattering; the color goes with a lot of stuff. It's soft. If you have large arms this is wonderful - and probably flattering if you have extra pounds. The finish is fine. Nearly kept it, but the awkwardness around the armholes is a common vest problem. I am 5'8" 135 lbs and wore a small fine.

    Armholes are cut too large and they gap. Too much extra fabric around the bottom so it does not fit close to the body. Needs a toggle adjustment around the bottom so it can be cinched for a better fit. Sending it back.
