It is not as warm as a full out winter jacket. But for shopping trips and the like, where I'm just going from building to car it is perfect. It is a great fashion accessory. It's like a heavy sweatshirt in weight. I usually wear a medium and I bought a medium and it fits perfectly. Love it.
