I purchased a pair of these around Christmas time last year and could not have been more satisfied. These however run a good bit longer in the inseam. The material seems to be same, but they are about an inch longer. They are both labeled Crested Butte, but these are made in China where the other pair were made in Vietnam. The extra inch just makes the legs far too long, more like a 32-33" inseam as these run a bit long anyway by design.

I got these as I travel with work to some hot places (India, SE Asia, ..) so needed a pair of pants that traveled well and were light weight and cool. the sizes were funny as you went by S,M,L vs. waist size. I normally where a 34 and large was big enough, in fact maybe a touch too big. The only improvement they can make is to provide a webbed belt or strap with them. I had a pair of columbia shorts that included one that matched well so I use that. The fabric is breathable and nice and light weight and the fit is relaxed.
Hey there. About 5 inches of elastic sewn into the waistband on each side which gives you 2 or 3 inches of play on the waist size. I am a 34 waist and the Medium is, if anything, just a tad on the snug side. The tag on the inside says "M - 34" Why in the heck Columbia uses Grill and Blade as colors I"ll never know. I think mine are peatmoss (but might be Tank, I can't remember) which is like an army green I guess. Reminds me of our flightsuits in the AF. Two normal front pockets, 1 right hip pocket with no button or Velcro, and 2 pockets on outside of left and right thighs with velcroed pockets. I hope that helps. Jimmy
