The birds, mountain lakes, fir trees, and the joy it brings to my beagles has made my life a wonderful one. I was a novice when arriving onto the treking scene. The first pair of shoes I bought were Columbia's "Shasta la Vista"! ( I still have them). They are amazing shoes but I desired to have a pair of boots that would get me further down the trail. I tried 7 pairs of different brands and could not find the right fit and style. Finally one day I realized I love my "Shasta's" so much perhaps Columbia has a pair of boots that would fit my needs. The Daska Pass are the answer to my prayers! They are firm but flexible to hop around in. They are waterproof but not smothering to my feet. They were broke in the first time I put them on. The back of the ankle support are what makes them the most comfortable for me. The other boots I tried always rubbed me on the back of my heel. I love the classic style with the modern design. I feel like a classic hiker in the new age of outdoor technology. Thank you Columbia!

I ordered a half size larger and I think that is the way to go. These are some tough boots and feel like they can take a real beating. I wore them in the snow and my feet were perfectly warm and dry. Break in time is very little to none. I couldn't be happier with these and would recommend them to anyone.

These Daska's are a very close second. Fit very well right after putting them on and only a day or two break in. Still like the Titaniums best but since I couldn't find any online, I'd highly recommend these boots.
