Columbia Sportswear Departure Dame Dress - UPF 50, Stretch Jersey, 3/4 Sleeve (For Women)

I will wear this anywhere I will be in the water as a dress by itself or over a swimsuit.

My mistake - I was unsure about the sizing so I read lots of reviews, on lots of sites. Many girls were complaining this dress ran small or had odd dimensions, so I ordered a medium. I just recieved it and am exchanging for a size small right away because the medium is absolutely vast on me, but it is a beautiful dress and I can tell that in the correct size the dimensions will be just right. If you are worried about fit - I am 5'6"/138 lbs, thin and muscular, long torso, wide shoulders, 36A but with a very curvy backside. I normally take a size 2 or 4 dress depending on overall dimensions. While many manufacturers reduce the garment's length/height in smaller sizes, Columbia thankfully did not make this assumption (just judging by the size medium of course), so my frequent problem of the waist hitting too high or shoulders being too narrow is not an issue here (they are hanging as a medium should on my frame, low and loose.) This is a very versatile cut so most body types will probably fit into their usual size. Finally, the fabric is a great weight - like most curvy-bottomed girls I am very cellulite-prone and have never had a light-colored dress that I could wear without leggings, but this fabric is substantial enough to conceal imperfections by itself, yet still swingy and soft.

I will take this to a water park, or hiking any where I know there will be water and I can just jump in! the fabric will dry super fast.

Fit snug. Heavy fabric and low cut. You'd need a tank under it. (I'm 5'9)

I am almost 5'2" and 106 pounds and ordered the black in XS. I love, love, love this dress *except* the neck line is quite low and it is also low on the shoulders. In order to wear a bra I would have to pin the bra to the dress so the bra straps don't show. Or you could wear a strapless bra. Others have suggested a cami which could work I suppose. Other than that it fits like a glove and is figure flattering. I almost want to exchange it for another XS to see if it would fit better but it's too much aggravation. For the price I'm going to keep it as I think it will be great for travel and for throwing on after the beach as it can easily be dressed up ith a pair of sandals and a necklace or scarf. If they could just fix that neckline!
