    This hat has better ear coverage than expected and is good for everday winter wear as long as there's not a blizzard. On windy days, though, still need additional ear coverage since it doesn't tie below the chin to secure the ear flaps.

    I purchased this had for my 7 year old daughter. I like that the hat is cut to come down over the ears. It definitely covers rather than "perching" on top of the head. It does seem to run a little big, however. The fleece lining adds to the comfort.
