    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    I'm in between a 14 and a 16, so I ordered the large based on others saying the pants fit big. The waist was too small to wear, and the legs were HUGE below the knee. Even with my big snowboarding boots, I can't imagine the gaiters being a snug fit. I sent them back.

    I use these for snowboarding and they work just fine. I am a size 8 and bought the Medium (10-12). Nice fit on the thighs and butt, where I usually have a tight fit. The pants do have a very high and loose waist. This is just fine with me, since I can tuck in my undershirt. It might bother someone else who likes a low-waist fit. However, if you are like me, little in the middle and got much back, these work out great!
