Nice shirt, but not for hot weather

I bought this to wear for sun protection, but it is just too heavy to be bearable in our climate - high temp and high humidity. I found the lighter weight fishing shirts that Columbia makes to be much better for my purpose. It's a nice shirt - but just not for what I needed it for.

nice shirt

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I bought the white and you cannot see through it. It's made very well and feels good, but it definitely needs ironing. The zippered pockets (big enough for a passport) are chest high with zippers on the seam side. I would have preferred them to be lower.

This shirt fit OK but the fabric was sort of stiff and wrinkly. I don't mind a messy look if the shirt is soft and nice but this one wasn't. I was looking for a lightweight travel shirt but will send this back a try again.

I bought this shirt for travel to a hot climate because of its UPF, ventilation, and roomy cut. The color is bright (marine) and doesn't fade. The shirt tail is long, which I like. I also like the zippered chest pockets, one with a sunglasses loop. The downside is that the shirt must be ironed after coming from the dryer, which may not work well for some kinds of travel.

Buy at least one size larger if sleeves need to cover the wrist. I bought size Large and my 32-inch sleeve length was fine until the shirt went through a warm drying cycle...the present sleeve length is now closer to 31 inches.

I bought this for travel as usual Columbia's. After I hand-washed it, it was very wrinkled that I ironed it. Afterward it is still very wrinkle, I don't think I like to iron during my vacation. The color and design is good, but the wrinkle is a headache for me, I am still pluzzing how to iron it for wearing it to work.
