They were snug in the hips and thighs to the point I didn't think they'd be very comfortable for all-day wear. Otherwise, they are very nice.

I'm 5'2", and slightly curvy and they just don't work for me. The waist is cut pretty high, and the hips and backside of the shorts are too narrow. I'll probably hang on to them for hiking and gardening, but I don't see getting much use out of the besides that.

Great styling, I loved the patch pockets, but the size 6 I ordered was way tight across my bottom and big in the waist. I am not a particularly curvy person, about an 8" difference between my waist and hip measurements. If you have more of a straight figure then these shorts might work for you - just size up if you are between sizes.

Now the waist is loose, but the adjustable elastic (like in my kids' pants) may be enough to make these stay up. I recommend these shorts for straight-hipped women!
