    Bought these for gardening, and they work well for that. Partial elastic waist helps when bending, but the legs are not flared and feel tight when bending and also tend to ride up. They may be better suited to women with slender legs, but then the waist may be large.

    these are very nice expensive-looking shorts. They tend to run a little small for Columbia. Columbia sizing usually runs sort of big. When buying Columbia, I usually get one size smaller, as it turned out, these were too small, so order your true size in these.
