    I was hoping to take these on a trip the length is great the material was nice but there is no way the sizing is correct. They were very small in the waist and tight in the thighs. I was NOT impressed with the fit but for the first time the length would have worked zip offs are always too short on me even if they're "long". [...]

    The only thing about these pants, they were not my size but I bought them anyway. Even though they were 2 sizes too big, the crotch on me was short. I am tall at 5'9", I can sew so I let out the seam a bit to give me a little more room. I live in HOT Lousiana they gave me a welcome relief to wear pants as I stomped around taking pictures.

    The pants are great! However I ordered 2 different colors only to discover they come from 2 diff. Columbia clothing lines. The ones with the UF50 have more features and run large. There's also a cheaper version with less features and that runs small. Since there's no way to tell which color comes from where, you'd take your chances ordering.

    Great convertibles. The shorts portion is quite long, just above knee. The fabric is good. Haven't tried them under a serious pack yet to see how the waistband fits under a pack belt. Biggest drawback is they are quite generously cut, borderline for going a size down.

    I am 5'9" and athleticly built with solid thighs and rear...these pants were long enough for me and they fit through the thighs which doesn't usually happen in Columbia Brand clothes for me. Overall excited by purchase, however haven't actually used them for a hike yet. Glad to finally find a pair of women's convertible pants that fit.
