    The shell performed really well in a downpour last week in NYC. The insulation layer has a nice fit / look for a casual fall jacket. Hoping the two together provide decent warm come January.

    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    The zippers on the pockets tend to snag the pocket lining--not just sometimes but most times. Also the side pockets are not well-positioned. These flaws are unfortunate, because the parka is really very nice in other respects. However, a garment in this price range should not have these problems.
