    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    These look to be another quality product from Columbia, the only problem I had is that they are just too short. I'm definitely on the muscular side so it is what it is, but I felt like a 1970's NBA player in these. I liked everything else about them but had to return them wishing they were atleast 2-3 inches longer.

    These are handy for a number of uses. I use them when fly fishing with hip waders. I put them on over my bike shorts before and after a ride. Also they are light and durable enough to hike or trail run in.
