Columbia Sportswear High Roc Pants (For Men)

I am on the water a lot during the spring and summer as a rowing referee. We have had a lot of rainy weekends this spring and these pants have had the cuffs dragged through the mud and have collected various stains along the way. A quick wash, no aggressive spot treatment, and they come clean. I have three pairs which I rotate and will keep buying them due to the price and quality.

This is my second pair of these pants. They are good for most everything, but I wear them to my local climbing gym.

This is a quality product with obvious attention to detail. My only complaint is the color choices are too close to each other (dark olive is too close to taupe to be an option) though both are nice and I did purchase several of each

Just so you know what you are getting into, these are the High ROC pants, not the High ROC II, which are slightly different in weight and fabric. I have a pair of the original version of the High ROC and they are most definitely a heavier cotton fabric than these High ROC pants. These pants are almost like the High ROC II in that they are the thinner fabric but these are all cotton instead of the cotton/nylon that the II's have. I have to wonder if these High ROC's are mis-labeled or were an all-cotton run of the II's. I was disappointed that they were not the heavier fabric cotton but they still fit well, wash up well and are great for travel pants, so I kept them. I highly recommend either version of these pants for casual, weekend and travel wear!

Comfortable fit

Bought these for my son - he says he likes them. (He's 15) Comfortable looking pants. He likes the elastic waistband and adjustable belt. Also, the deep pockets are a big plus with him! Good quality material, haven't washed them yet, but they look like they won't wrinkle after washing and no iron would be needed.

Bottom line, make sure you get the right model "High Roc". There are two material types, one is very lightweight, and one is a heavy duty cotton. I have the heavy version, and wanted to buy several more - they are great, and I would give them 5 stars. However, what I purchased was the lightweight version. It may be a difference between the High Roc and High Roc II, but at the time I was shopping for them online, I could only find the High Roc. I didn't realize there was another until doing additional research after the purchase. [...]

My favorite columbia comfort pants. Great on the trail.

I was looking for some comfy pants for my quickly growing autistic son who needs to wear men's pants now but still likes the comfortable elastic waist kind of pants, not just sweats. They are great and he is not having any problems wearing them. The length is good too, and the price was spectacular.

Just a long-legged woman trying to find some good-fitting "adventure" pants. So I tried the men's. I had good luck with another style of Columbia, but this one runs snug and is short waisted. I'm going to try to next size up if there's any left. The regular stores like Cabella's, REI, Bass Pro, Gander Mt., never carry women's size tall pants. Do they think all women are petite?
