When running they keep my hands toasty. If I'm biking when it is windy they don't do as well of a job but my hands keeping them on for 2 minutes after going inside warms my hands up quickly. I hate that they're really sticky to velcro and every time you pull them off a velcro tab they fray a little. Not sure how long they will last if I keep accidentally getting them stuck to my jacket's velcro.
