The fit on this is big/baggy. I normally wear a large, but in this shirt, a medium may have fit better. After wearing several times, the buttons started coming off. This may be related to laundry and not a quality problem, but i'm not sure. There weren't enough bugs to say whether the insect blocker really works.

I have only had a brief opportunity to test this Columbia Insect Blocker shirt. At the end of July in the North Quabbin woods of Mass., the bugs are voracious. While I noticed that they continued to swarm around me. they did not land nor try to bite through the fabric. It makes fishing possible in spite of mosquitoes and other bad bugs.

Oh it works; not much for gimmick shirts however I liked the way that this one looked; I actually bought a second one when I realized that I liked the fit as well.

I am six four; 240 lbs (no gut) - pretty big arms so the only complaint is that if you are big in the chest and arms that the sleeves are a tad tight; however XL fits me well; not baggy in the waist at all - trim fit. I'd say it is true to size.

Ordered for upcoming safari, already wearing it out to dinner and to work. Crisp looking enough for nice dress casual but stretchy and comfortable for long days and travel, we got two colors.

The medium size seemed a bit small. I expected the ventilation flap to extend across the upper back as it does in other shirts I have bought but the ventilation slits in this shirt are behind the arm pits. I don't think this is a problem, just unexpected. Shirt quality seems fine and the colors are bright and crisp.
