Columbia Sportswear Intrepid Pants - Stretch (For Men)

Not constricting but, not too baggy. I ordered a 42. I'm 6'2" and I'm taking the length up by one hem.

I really wanted these pants for travel in Europe this summer. They look great and have a lot of good features. There's a drawstring inside in addition to the belt loops. All this and stretch fabric, too. I'm really disappointed that they are so big. A 42 waist is a normally snug to just right on me. These things swallowed me. I assume that they were tagged wrong at the factory.[...] I'm returning them today.

I ordered these pants because I wanted pants to hike in that had some give in the material as opposed to 100 % nylon pants. These pants are really nice, i put them on and they are a little big, however I bought them to go backpacking in Big Bend N.P. and didn't have time to worry about the waist size, besides i always wear a belt. They also have a small waist cord inside to help tighten the waistline. These pants stretch nicely, they are comfortable, and they dry quickly. They only have 3 pockets, which isn't a big deal to me, and they show dirt really easily, also not a big deal for me. The only problem I've had with these pants is sometime during our overnight backpacking trip to the South Rim at Big Bend the crotch seam tore out. It was only about an inch long, and the most of the trip was spent taking big steps up and down, however the reason I didn't wear plain nylon pants was so the material would give and not rip. Despite this it was the only pants I had on the trip other than long johns and rain pants, so I wore them throughout the trip and several succeeding days afterword because of the comfort. I love these pants, and have no problem getting them fixed, but it was the first use, be it an rough, extended use. Despite this I love these pants and want to get another pair of them or a similar pair, for the price you can't go wrong if you know someone who can sew them up.

Can wear these several days in succession

Purchased for travel to the desert. These pants are light, durable and look good. Perfect!

My husband bicycly tours, so these weren't ideal for that. They were too heavy. We ended up returning them because of that reason and because they were too big.

I really like these pants. Had to go down one waist size to get a perfect fit. Buy some of these. The constuction is great, and you can't tell they are stretch pants just by looking at them. They look like regular hiking pants. The freedom of movement in these is priceless- yet you can get them for a song here at STP.

I think these pants will feel good and dry quickly when wading wet while fishing.
