I wouldn't call this jacket warm, though if you layered underneath or over it I'm sure it would help significantly. As for being wind proof, maybe a little bit, didn't notice much.

Reviewed by possumdog7 from two hours from anywhere, nc on Sunday, February 27, 2011bought two of these and had to send both back because the stretchy material is like dry-rotted. if it gets stretched out it doesn't return to the original weave. it makes this cracking, stretching sound too when it stretches, something is wrong with it, reminds me of something with stretch, that's sat for a long time in closet, like i said dry-rotted. maybe my two were culls, don't know, but they both had same problem. if you want to take a chance on these i will say they are looser rather than snugger fitting. i'm 5'8"+, 145#'s, 40BBs, and the large was comfortably loose
