It is lightweight. The only thing is that it didn't fit me so well. It was big at the top, long (which I prefer being tall), and somewhat narrow in the hips. Its a nice jacket through for someone maybe with slimmer hips.

I wanted it do snow sports in, too, to replace my old North Face one, which is a Medium and too short and tight fitting around the shoulders if I wear anything under it. This fits great and is a little longer in the torso, so it won't flap up every time I fall in the snow (something I do quite a bit.) Love the color, great fabric and styling, roomy pockets and perfect weight.
