Columbia Sportswear Lander Pants - UPF 50 (For Men)

I have no complaints other than waist sizing. These pants were one size too large. I hope for them to shrink a little after a few washings. Fabric and detailing are good quality. Zip front pocket is handy.

I've been wearing Columbia Lander pants for many years. They are comfortable and practical. I was disappointed when Columbia discontinued them, but I figured they would still be available from Sierra Trading Post. I bought two pair and was pleased that they both fit well (in stores I try on every pair in my size). I've never seen the color before. It's a dark green/brown. All I've seen was olive, gold and white. I'm a happy guy.

Higher waisted than a lot of modern pants. Thats a positve as I am a 60 year old & use braces in stead of a belt. I bought 30 leg length as I wish to wear them in summer with sandals or bare feet. They are the ideal length for that. My normal trousers are 32in legs that I wear with boots. But the 32in needs to be rolled up as they are too long with sandals or bare feet. I bought 2 pairs & will now try to get a couple more at 32ins legs for the winter with boots.

These pants are FAN-TAS-TIC! Comfortable, soft but tough, offers great range of movement. The lack of an inseam in the crotch (fabric bridges the inseam) means no chafing on a long walk. They sit nicely, as well, meaning that they don't hang loosely, but instead stand away from the leg, making them look cool, and avoids making contact with the leg while walking. The snap releases easily but remains fast through any kind of activity. On the right is a separate pocket with a zipper closure. Excellent feature to put a passport and wallet when in 'other places.' Oh, and the pockets are deep enough to sleep in. The side pocket is a nice feature, too.

After wearing my husband wished that more would have been available. Nice fit and fabric with nice feel for fall or winter, but good for other times as well.
