“First, the coat which arrived 2/3/12 from Sierra Trading Post was the model with the Columbia tinfoil silver looking zip-in liner. The liner zips in on the sides and snaps at the back of the neck as well as both sleeves. The liner itself is the thinner puffy nylon with the silver "Omni-Heat" heat reflecting technology. The liner is not fleece like older models of this jacket. The pictures currently posted on the STP site depict the earlier models with the fleece liner and the Titanium logo. In my opinion the jacket that arrived is far superior to the older technology and I could not be happier with the coat, especially at the STP price. I am 6'2" and 245 lbs. The XXL coat fits just right through the shoulders and is just a bit wide through the midsection. This jacket is an "athletic fit" so I was expecting it to be just a bit more fitting though the midsection, but it is a far better fit on me than most of the parka models which tend to be outrageously puffy through the middle... especially when you get in to the XXL sizes. I am a big guy, but have a thin belly and often find it hard to find jackets that fit well though the middle. I am overall much happier with the fit of this jacket than most other ski parkas I tried on at stores. If there is any downside to this coat it is the lack of smaller hand pockets on the outside of the shell. There are pockets but they are very large pockets that open for just below the armpit downward towards the waist. I guess that from a casual wear perspective it would have been nice to have a smaller pocket or the zipper open from the bottom upward. The interior liner coat does have more conventional hand pockets and all thing equal would probably be the coat I am more likely to wear around casually. If you only plan to use the shell for skiing and the like the large exterior p pockets of the shell will be great as they provide excellent goggle pockets. With the liner zipped out the shell has more interior pockets available which over come this fault. Note that the interior pockets of the shell are not accessible with the liner zipped in place.”
