Reviewed by JC from Ohio on Monday, May 20, 2013In 20 yrs of light hiking, these boots are the most comfortable hiking boots I have ever worn. They have excellent arch support and are light weight. My feet have stayed dry in rain, wet grass, and snow. They have been warm enough in cold weather with the right socks and not too hot in warmer weather. I generally wear them for light hiking and walking my dogs - usually an hour or so at a time. Very pleased with this purchase and the price was great too!

Definitely kept my feet warm & dry in the snow. Stable footing on the trails. I'll keep my other shoes for the roads and better weather, and I'll use these for the trails and inclement weather.

Broke them in on a 19 mile backpack trip and had zero problems, apart from size - which was my own fault. I got them 1/2 size bigger than I needed because I typically have issues with width in a medium boot. Not so with these. There's tons of room. Rather than returning them, I just put on thicker socks and laced them up tighter. Wasn't sure i was going to be able to deal with the height at first - they hit me funny at the ankle and were a little uncomfortable (I have a surgical scar), but I'm glad I hung onto them. Since I gravitate more toward light/ultralight when I backpack, these are just about perfect for 3-season use.

Took a few days for my feet to break in but when they do, they are really comfy even at long distance hikes. Appears to be well-made. I am not sure but looks like they would last a long time. I am very happy with this purchase.

I like the rubber around the ankle, more stability. The arch may be low (I always put in inserts so...). I did not give it 5 stars because of the appearance, but probably should because this is the first pair of "waterproof" shoes I have ever had that were actually waterproof! I did not find them small, but I always order hikers a 1/2 inch larger anyway! Happy hiking!
