I ordered these for myself to wear this winter. I have worn them in temperatures down to -17 degrees. Even with minimum underlayers, I stayed toasty warm while skiing which brought the temperature lower than the thermometer indicated. Easy to get in and great access to pockets and ventilation. I LOVE them! Thanks Sierra and Columbia!

Very nice pants for skiing or boarding, but way too large. Went to nearby Columbia store and found, whereas I am normally a large (36" waist), I am a medium in Columbia. I recommend going down a size when ordering.

  • Question “would these be appropriate for a river rafting trip (early fall)? or too bulky? if unlined, seems like they'd be OK but would appreciate any advice.”
Asked on 5/25/2012 12:00:00 AM by fuelcelljoe from Sacramento, CA
    • Answer Go for it! You wont know until you bail into the rapids. For the price, give them a shot but don't drown. I know they will keep me warm & dry in the snow.

  • Question “What is the size of the bottom leg opening? Thank!”

  • Question “What type of insulation do the Mt. Krause Snow Pants have? I purchase the pants and recieved them today. I am a US Marine station in Korea, and nothing on the enclosed reciept mentions insulated Snow pants or does the Columbia Merchandise itself say this. I don't want to try these trousers on in the snow yet, unless I am 100% they are insulated. The other question is how come the reciept or the product on itself does not say insulated as I recieved it?”
Asked on 1/5/2011 12:00:00 AM by Johnny from US Forces Korea
    • Answer These are not insulated, but if you layer correctly under them you will stay warm.
