I bought the black medium size and when I received these pants, I found out they run large. I am 32 waist with an inseam of 31. I returned and got a small which fit as good as one may want when they are cinched with its elastic Velcro straps. They won't hug your body, but I am not looking for a professional skin tight pant. The pockets have a water resistant zipper to keep my phone away from melting frost on my legs, which is nice. My only minor complaint is that they have a pocket on the leg that does not serve much of a purpose, but perhaps to store a sharpening stone for on the go tuning. It just gives a bulge that I believe is unnecessary, but this doesn't matter much for me, but for others? maybe. This flattens out with the extra height from ski boots, so add that in to the equation if you want. The insulation is not for single layering, but that's to be expected. I wear thermals under and I am golden. It will keep you warm while dangling on a ski lift chair with a freezing and stiff wind blowing. Bottom line, good pants and a good deal on Sierra Trading Post.

Columbia seems to be one of the best companies to size their clothing right, most of the others large are actually mediums.

I've owned Titanium Omnitech products for many years and all still look like new. These pants are well constructed, insulated, and totally waterproof. Fit is perfect. The bottom of the pants have snaps to make putting on/off with boots easier, but no zipper, so putting on over large boots (I'm size 13) will not be easy/possible. Color is black with some grey lines that make box patterns. The lines are pretty faint. From more than a few feet away, the pants look black. A++ especially given the great price!

Great product by Columbia - skied a week in Heavenly and they were comfortable, breathable & very waterproof. I ordered a 2nd pair! I find the pockets a little small but it's a minor complaint.
