    I used to buy Filson products fairly exclusively, but have finally decided that the synthetics that are out there are just better. This is one of those purchases. Wanted a rain jacket for hiking, etc. This fits well, but has enough extra for a light jacket or sweater underneath without feeling constricted. So far, I've only had two rainy days to check it out and am pleased with the performance of this jacket.

    This jacket could use some improvements. I normally wear an XL because most Columbia jackets run a bit on the larger side. I ordered an XL it was way to tight under the arms before layering. I sent it back for a 2XL and it was a little better but still to tight under the arms. I like to be able to zip in my liner you can't with this jacket. It's a personnel thing.Still overall a very nice coat but not for me.
