Overall this jacket is really nice, just beware of the size. It seemed to run a little larger than expected since I own another Large Columbia jacket I was expecting the same size but it was a little bigger. Still fits alright.

It's not the 3 in 1 coat. However, it's warm. Though it is labelled the omni-heat, it is not the same with one I buy from amazon. It dosen't have the reflect layer inner. I suspect whether it is omni-heat.
The Columbia Sportswear Planetoid Omni-Heat® is considered a winter coat. I hope this helps!

I just received this "jacket/coat." It is a hybrid. A suit coat is usually the right size if you can drop your arms down, cup your hands, and the hem of the coat fits into the cuff of your hand. This jacket/coat is about 1" shorter. The XL covers my butt. A leather jacket I have is 3" shorter. Also, there is a grouping of patches on the back of the coat. See Q. #3. This is a beautiful jacket/coat otherwise.
