It offers some protection from the elements as well. The only down side to this jacket is that the hood does not stay up since it doesn't have draw strings. Any gust of wind flips it back. Other than that I love the jacket and it fits perfectly!!

I noticed the Sm. is 4-6 but the XS is only a 2 which I'm sure would be too small. A shame because it is the perfect runaround jacket.

The large fits perfectly and it's such a nice jacket for those "not cold enough for a fleece, but also not raining" days. Very flattering design feels feminine but not constricting. I'm pleased as punch.
