Closeouts. Foul weather is a specialty of Columbia Sportswear's Rain Tech II jacket. Fully seam-sealed Omni-Tech® waterproofing keeps wet weather out, and intelligently designed Omni-Heat® lining retains vital body warmth when the temperatures dip.

Couldn't get a color I really preferred in my size, but bright yellow acceptable since will use biking sometimes. Sleeves a bit long for me (size L), otherwise a comfy fit with light sweater. Construction seems solid. And extra discounts are great.

Like most Columbia garments, this is a quality jacket. However, the medium size, which I normally wear, was too tight through the chest, waist and hips. I returned it for a large, which is just right with or without a sweater underneath. As the description implies, this is definitely a cool weather jacket. I wore it first in a mid-seventies temperature and light rain, and it was too warm for extended hiking, even with pit zips open. If you need a waterproof windbreaker for cool/cold wet weather, this is a good choice.

I really like Omni Heat for cooler out of doors times. This also doubles as rainwear. My friend showed up with the green one in Portugal in the Spring. We were at sea up to 12 hours and in some weather. He was not only warm but dry. The coat was stylish and as soon as I returned I got the Yellow one. I like the fact that it works as a shell and will likely give it some duty on the ski slopes this Winter. Great fit, nice styling and versatile utility.
