    I am petite (5'2") and bought it for myself (girl's XL), to cover myself and the backpack or lumber pack. The only drawback is the oversized hood, so be prepared to thread a drawstring through it and shorten (fold & add a few stitches) in the back - very simple but makes it fit perfectly.

    ok, I got the XL and as a thin 5'9" woman it fits great. Love the hood. Hits me below the waist, great pattern. I find that many l-XL girls clothes now fit me b/c I guess they have to make them larger for the...um..larger kids we have these days. Columbia products are always great quality

    The material seems a bit thin but we'll have to see how it works after fall. It may hold up just fine.
