Verified Buyer Reviewed by K.J. from California on Wednesday, February 8, 2017This is a practical hiking/town shirt. As the add says: UPF 30, Long Sleeves, Moisture wicking fabric. . . What they should also say: You can roll up your sleeves and secure them, so they don’t slide back. Also the collar has an additional piece of fabric. This is brilliant, so when you flip your collar up, this extension provides more sun protection up your neck. Overall a very thoughtful design.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Gumbysz from Ohio on Friday, September 23, 2016Purchased this shirt for my husband to wear on a ten day backpacking trip in the high Sierra mountains. He was very pleased with the performance of the shirt, lightweight and comfortable. The colors were perfect because even after ten days it did not look dirty.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Hiker Bob from Virginia on Monday, June 13, 2016Very comfortable, light weight shirt.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Harvet6f from Langley, WA on Thursday, April 21, 2016I have a few of these easy to wash and wear shirts. They work well for outdoor activities, TRAVEL, and casual days at the office.
I like the colorful plaid pattern of this shirt. It is not burdened with superficial features and gimmicks. I like it's clean lines.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Fred from Colorado on Saturday, January 2, 2016Comfortable, breathable, stylish and sun protection these shirts have it all. I own 5 different colors of these shirts for hiking and would recommend them for everyone.
Question & Answer
“The STP site lists the fabric as "Fabric: 53% nylon, 47% Tactel® nylon, 57% polyester, 43% Supplex nylon, 62% polyester, 38% nylon or". Which is it?”
53% Poly, 43% supplex nylon
This is a great looking shirt, though it fits a bit large (I ordered a small, am 5'7'' and it is still a little larger than I would prefer), but not so large that it makes a huge difference. Also, the fabric is definitely very lightweight, and see this as being a great moisture-wicking shirt for when I am on my thru-hike of the AT this summer. My biggest concern is the durability of such a lightweight shirt, especially at the cost of the shirt. I will gladly write another review in the fall when I return from the trail to let you know how it held up.
