Columbia Sportswear Silver Ridge Shirt - Long Sleeve (For Women)

I wear this shirt all the time. It's great when it's not cold enough for a coat or when I need to run into an air-conditioned store. I also wear it as a layer when I'm out birding because it's so versatile- a warm layer in the morning, and then a cover for sun protection with the zippers open and the sleeves rolled up as the day gets warmer.

As a professional gardener, I need sun protection, so the long tail is a big help. I also need to be able to switch between long and short sleeves quickly when I come up against poison ivy and slice-and-dice-your-skin ornamental grasses so I'm constantly using the roll-up sleeves. Love the loud lime color--I bought the same shirt for two of my girlfriends and they LOVE it too! I'm rough on my work clothes... one button has come off and the seam threads are not as durable as what ExO uses, and the fabric is not as thin and cool as my Dryflight shirts but I still reach for this shirt all the time and the fabric itself will probably take more abuse since it's thicker. Love how quickly nylon shirts dry!

This is a wonderful shirt for hiking. What I like most is that I can go from the outdoors into a resturant or store and not feel underdressed.

It looked too big when I first held it up, but looked fine when I put it on. Lots of fancy seams. Better get it out of the dryer quickly or you'll have to iron it. Though vented & it says wicks moisture, I don't know whether it will be cool in summer, because it's winter!It is 100% nylon. Nice looking fabric.

Columbia is a great brand with sturdy, high quality products. If you like the outdoors, but not the sun damage that comes with it then upf clothing are a must!
