I am looking to keep luggage light weight for long trips. Low initial weight and drying are crucial to the goal. I wish it had a bit of stretch in the fabric.

I love the fact that the waistline is adjustable. These are great shorts for hiking around the tidepools or out on the lava in Hawaii. These shorts will also work well for working outdoors in the summer in Colorado.

I am an honest size 8 who sometimes ends up in a 6 due to clothes manufacturers' size inflation. These were quite snug...tighter than I would want for kicking around in. I also noticed that one leg was about an inch longer than the other when I tried them on. Had to return them.

I purchased these shorts to use on a hiking trip, but once I received them and tried them on I found they can be worn all the time. They fit really nice around the waist. Other shorts I've tried on sit lower on my waist and don't feel as comfortable as these shorts do. I went back and bought a 2nd pair.

I think if you have thin legs (thigh area)you should be fine with these shorts. I have an athletic build with muscular thighs and they were snug but no give to the material.
