Columbia Sportswear Siren Splash Shorts (For Women)

I bought these to wear over a swimsuit, which they will work for. However, I think they are better suited for workouts.

I got the black. Just what I wanted--a little more length than a swim suit bottom. Will use them swimming, canoeing, hanging out at the lake. Looks great with a tankini, functional pocket for a key, CC, cash, nice liner for extra coverage. I'm 5'10", 145, medium fit great.

These are the neatest little shorts/swim bottoms. I like to run and then end up in a lake or river and these really fit the bill! I wish I could have the top in the same color

Sizing: I usually wear a size 0 or 2 but got the small because XS was not in stock. I like the fit of the shorts because they lay flat around the waist, but do have a drawstring to tighten if needed. There is a flat zippered pocket in front which seems handy at the beach or pool. The fit seems flexible because the material is stretchy. The XS would probably have been more of a snug, athletic fit but I am perfectly happy with the size small. Color: I got the green/blue print and love it. Use: I took these shorts on a beach vacation and they were the perfect poolside cover-up. Also wore them over a bathing suit when I went running, paddle boarding, and fishing. They were comfortable, quick-drying, and stylish. The only thing I hadn't anticipated is that there is a built-in liner, albeit breathable, they do fit more like boy shorts or small biker shorts rather than panties. I am considering cutting them out just because I don't find that feature useful for my purposes.
