Columbia Sportswear Snow Wonder Jacket - Insulated (For Women)

I was hoping to use this as both a sports jacket, as it was manufactured to be, and a casual, cold weather jacket (for New York winters). As others have noted, it runs at least one size small, which I took into account, ordering a medium instead of a small. I am very slender (5' 7" & 120 lbs) and it fit me around the body, was bulky in the mid back, and the worst part, restricting in the shoulders and upper back. No way could you do anything active in this, nor could you layer under it. My shoulders are average size, but not as big as a very athletic woman would have. I will say it is a good looking jacket and I think it would be warm enough even for very cold days with a layer under it (that I could not have fit). Finally, it does NOT have a drawcord waist as stated, which I wanted. The drawcord is at the hips. If it fit I would have given it a 5, despite the drawcord, but I am giving it a 2 for the reasons above. I was sorry to have to return it.

I wanted to love this jacket but it runs too small:(

This jacket was great, went sledding, skiing, ice skating, and it was about 15-20 degrees and was able to stay outside for hours. Also been wearing about town, we've had a lot of below zero days and it's kept me warm. Pretty wind-proof, the sleeves were a great length, not too short.

worn in the rain and it kept me dry. i bought a xl for xtra mobility and its not overly big. it has elastic gathers from underarm to bottem hem for a feminine flattering fit

I wore this jacket to Banff, Canada and could not have been more pleased. I wore it all day and at night. It kept me warm and looked great. Lots of pockets and felt true to size!

I just received this coat and I am really liking it!! Regarding the Fit: It does run small and semi-fitted, so for the best fit, you will need to order one size larger. I am 5' 7" and 160# . I normally take a womens size 14 but I ordered the XL instead of the L and it fits just right; however there won't be room for any big bulky wool sweaters. Regarding Warmth: I live in Central Minnesota and wore it yesterday and it truly was very warm. It was nice to have the hood since it was windy and cold. Regarding fabric and color: I ordered the "Blueprint" color and it is like a dark slate blue. It reminds me of the blue shirts that auto mechanics wear.I'm lovin the color. A bit old school 1970's looking. I'm using a red scarf and mittens with mine and it is really pretty! The fabric is great and the lining is soft and warm. I think for the money, this is a very nice coat and there are those little quality features like the adjustable velcro around the wrists to keep the cold out. Just remember to order one size larger for the best fit.

I thought this would be a nice jacket because it would block the wind when I walked the dog. It went right back because it was cut way to small and I even ordered up a size.
