Reviewed by kylecherryoutdoors from Nebraska on Thursday, November 21, 2013Just a great boot for a great price. Seats well into a snowshoe and is just an all around nice comfortable warm boot.
Reviewed by spunky from Michigan on Friday, November 15, 2013The fit is true to size. Bought these for my adult son, size 15. He likes them, said they fit, and felt warm. No snow in our part of Michigan yet, so these have not been worn outside. I personally have several Columbia items, so am quite sure these will do the job.

The "W" stands for wide width. The difference between M & W 3/16 of inch.
“I am planning a winter trip to The Mighty Five (the 5 national parks in Utah) and the Grand Canyon in late November in which there will be snow/ice present. Planning on doing lots of hiking (including a hike to the bottom of the Grand Canyon) and exploring. Will these boots give me the proper traction I need when there is snow/ice present when hiking all those canyons?”
They will give you good footing in most conditions. However on solid ice the is no boot sole that will give you solid footing. You may also need to look at getting a pair of traction devices for ice that fit over you boots.
It is 200g of polyester insulation.
The boot is waterproof so they would be fine for hiking northern Spain.
