I am from New England and have been buried in several feet of snow this winter. These boots have been great for shoveling out and just playing out in the snow with the kids. They are not stiff and very comfortable. Great purchase.

I have been on a quest for boots for snowshoeing and I was certain that these would be perfect. As usual I went up one size from my regular shoe size and the length was perfect. There was enough room at the toe with a medium weight wool sock. I wasn't looking to double up on socks since these were rated to -32 degrees. The big problem I had is that my heel slipped up and down several inches when walking. I was so disappointed that I am now giving up on looking for snowshoe boots. If you don't have a narrow heel, women typically have a relatively narrow heel, you might want to consider this boot. Forgot to mention that the width was very comfortable with no pinching at all across the forefoot. I am average width. Will recommend with reservations because of the heel issue. Otherwise this is a good boot.

After ordering 5 different pairs of winter boots, these finally held my skinny heel in place and are quality. I owned some old school Bugaboos for 20 years and loved, loved, loved them. They were warm, flexible, lightweight, low-profile and worked great for winter hikes and snowshoeing, etc..."they just don't make them like they use to." These are really cute and the color is GREAT (dk. purple) Lots of compliments. However, that wasn't the goal. They are bulkier and the sole is chunky. Haven't given them a real test (snowshoeing or ??) but they fit and they are warm!!
