Columbia Sportswear Southport Garden Dress - Sleeveless (For Women)

I bought this dress hoping to have a light summer dress to wear to outdoor events. The color/pattern is really cute, but the fit was horrible. The waist was huge, the bust was too big and the fabric was almost transparent. It just felt low quality. Very disappointed so I returned it.

This dress fit me perfectly in my regular size, which is Medium. The fabric is soft, the print is cheery, and my only wish would be a couple more inches of fabric in the hem/length, but it will just look cool and breezy on my tall self (5'10"). Grab one before they're gone!

I normally get dresses in size 10/Large (I am 5'8", 140 lb), but after reading other reviews I ordered this one in Medium, and I'm glad I did. It fits nicely without being clinging, has a great shape to it, except the bust darts are a little out of position. I wish at least the skirt were lined, so I wouldn't have to wear a slip with it, but that's a small price to pay for what is otherwise a great summer dress. The bottom hem has 2 side slits about 3 inches long, so be sure your slip is shorter than that. The back tie is simple but makes the basic dress a little fancier. Note: when they say "deep V-neck" they mean it....it plunges right on down! But I didn't know if that should be under "pros" or "cons" - for me it's a "con," but for someone else that might be a great feature. I love dresses that can be machine washed & hung dry, but this one definitely requires ironing (at least for me it does). So I can't quite go to 5 stars, but it's WELL worth the money.

Fit feels a little "irregular" in the left side seam. Otherwise, very nice.

If there were more in my size I would order another one. Perfect little summer dress.
