Columbia Sportswear Steens Mountain Jacket - Fleece (For Men)

Would have purchased in other colors if they had it.

Mostly used for lightweight warmth as a casual jacket, and also for layered warmth when really cold. Fits well, love the "beet" color. Sort of wish it had an upper wallet pocket, but that's not a deal breaker.

Purchased for my husband for a European trip that will involve a lot of walking in cool weather. He loves the fit and comfort of the fleece. It is definitely up to Columbia's high standards.

Beet color is a different shade of red, rather nice. Wear under rain gear or in cold buildings.

Great for the outdoors!

The product description is a bit misleading because it says it is made of "heavy weight polyester", but it really feels more like a mid-weight jacket. On the other hand it is warmer than you might think based on it's weight. I almost didn't order it because I was looking for a lightweight jacket. However, I compared it's weight with another jacket I was considering buying, that was described as lightweight and the actual weight of a size large in both jackets was identical. If I had my druthers, this jacket would have a zippered chest pocket. In addition, I would prefer to have looser elastic around the wrist openings. It is perfectly comfortable when worn in normal position, but I have a habit of pulling up the sleeves when I get a bit warm, and when I do the elastic is a bit snug. Other than that, this jacket would be a definite "5" and for anyone without my idiosyncrasies, it most likely will be a "5". It is a really neat jacket: good looking, warm, and based on the appearance and brand (Columbia) I would say it is likely to last a really long time.

Excellent fleece sweater overall... got an XL for my L hubby so he can wear it over another fleece for double warmth and it works perfectly ... not too big for him ... very cozy!

The product was very different in details of professional quality product. I owned different products from columbia and I was still impressive with this fleece jacket. Thanks again. P.S> I love the color i chosen for myself.

This is a high quality fleece jacket, perfect 3 season weight, and at [$] on sale, it's a steal. I have a Patagonia fleece too that cost $100 and aside from the name, you can't tell the diference. I highly recommend getting the 'Tall' if you are 6'2'' or taller, as the added length is a nice feature. I got Tall XL and I am 6'3" and 220 lbs... fits nicely.
