It cuts the wind, keeps me warm and still looks presentable at the office and in the community. The leg linings pull out and shift getting in and out of them but thats pretty typical and minor.

The liner is soft against skin and the outer treatment seems to repel rain well so far. The belt loops are a bit thick for under a pack, and could be lighter if there weren't soo many pockets (6). Overall a good choice and a great price

I've used them twice now on hikes - with and without silk longjohns, temps in low to high 30's. Stayed comfortably warm, never cold, never hot-even trudging through snow with a pack on. The fabric is a bit too wimpy to be perfect, but it's close enough. I have a number of Columbia pants and smalls have historically fit my 32" waste just about right. These were way too small and the medium is plenty generous. I guess that's what belts are for. Thankfully the crotch doesn't hang real low.
