“I picked up these pants here (great deal) and a pair of Kuhl travel pants (REI--spendy) to help me keep ahead of my students on an Italy trip. I've not hiked in them yet, so I can't speak to the breathability. Seem fine--since it is mostly cotton (why I bought them).
I like the finish of the Columbia, but the fit is not quite as loose & comfy as the Kuhls (but they have a gappy zipper placket--beware!). Probably true to size...as I need to get some more walking in.”
