This is just a fabulous product; couldn't be happier. The hood fits under a ski helmet if it's really cold. There are so many pockets you can carry tons of small items and keep them separate. If it warms up during the day, the suit also has excellent zip-open ventilation at the legs and arms.

I am 6'2" and 260lbs, so I need a bit of room. I also bought the XXL for stuffing with tons of warm cloths; and this one for warmer days 25+F with just sweats and UnderArmour gear. Solid heavy duty build, but the 2009 model is a bit nicer.

This item looks well made but the hood didn't fit so well over a helmet and the material is quite stiff. Plenty of room everywhere else which you kind of need when it's a one piece. My husband wasn't enthusiatic enough about it to keep the item so I sent it back.

The Columbia Timber Suit is a lot of Bang for the money spent!!! If your looking for a one-piece suit, your either looking at snowboard brands that will be out of style next sea...son with their ridiculous designs, or the highly technical Helly Hansen Survival Suit, or North Face offerings, which = BIG Dollars and yes worth the money! However, I believe this suit has all the features you need to keep the powder out, and warmth in! It is cut slightly big, but feels right given it is a one piece (snowboarding suits tend to run wayyyy large) All the technical features: Pit zips, tons of pockets, a soft fleece plaid liner on the upper body, even elastic bands to tighten the waist from the inside without needing a stupid looking belt (but they even provide belt loops just in case). Now check this out... They even designed the suit so that if you are looking at it from the back, it looks like a jacket and pant set to hide the flat butt look most one-piece suits give. The fabric is rugged, slightly rough: what Columbia calls omnitech, their waterproof synthetic. Overall I think everyone should have this....wait skip that, I want to stand out in the crowd! And it certainly will even though it is all BLACK!!!! The best part, once Apres Ski comes, just unzip and out you go ready to party!!! A real breeze! A+ job to Columbia on this one!

Great suit. Just got it and haven't had a chance to test it on the slope but feels like a good quality product.
