Columbia Sportswear Trail and Travel Pants (For Men)

These are great in warmer weather.

Great for travel.

The waistband has a micro lining which helps decrease friction when wearing a pack. Zippered pockets are a nice touch to secure valuables when traveling. Primarily used for travel so I am pleased with the style as they are good to go from day travel/adventure to dinner the same night without screaming tourist. Not as quick to dry as other pure nylon pants. Theses are combo nylon/cotton but still lightweight and breathable. Perfect for travel.

I'm 6'5" 210 lb. and have difficulty finding pants in a size 34/36. Often I can get by with a 36/34, with the additional needed length relative to excess waist, if I wear a tight belt. This belt will not stay tight. I ordered a grey pair that was plenty long, comfortable, and stylish (wife approved). However, after the first wash the left thigh pocket separated from the zipper. The brown pair I ordered, in the same size, was about two inches shorter. I am returning both.

Pants good for travel

I'm a radio reporter who does a lot of field reporting, which means carrying lots of junk around in all types of conditions. These pants have plenty of pockets to keep stuff organized, but not so many that they look ridiculous. They dry fast, feel cool, seem sturdy, and like Columbia products in general, seem generally well made and engineered.

Columbia has a winner with these trail & travel pants. I own a half dozen pair. They are light, comfortable, rugged, and have great looks. They are just as comfortable traveling, on the trail, or just knocking around town. Sierra offers these great pants at a fraction of the price you will pay anywhere else - if you can find them at all! very comfortable and durable

I like these pants because the material is lightweight, there are plenty of pockets, the pockets have zippers, the pockets are not bulky, the fit is perfect for me, and they are stylish. I liked my first pair so much I bought another. I've only had them for a short time. I intend to wear them around town and eventually out camping. I think they will be great for camping with the many pockets and cotton fabric (around campfires).
