Columbia Sportswear Trail Twist Slim Pants - Stretch Double Weave (For Women)

Bought these to wear as a top layer in Michigan this winter for walking the dog & outdoor exercise. I think they are an excellent buy & want a 2nd pr., although I agree with other reviewers on the front/back material, so I will only try another pair of black - which I love! I don't agree on the sizing reviews. I think Columbia clothes run small & I always order up, which I did on these ( L ). I am an 8-10, but the L is comfy, not too tight, with plenty of room to layer under. That is my experience with the brand and I have a few other pieces, all sized L or 12. They are long, but I like that for winter and outdoors to keep snow out and warm in. Always love, love the STP deals. Cannot be beat.

I love the first pair of these pants that I bought from STP. They are very flattering on a slender frame like mine, and I would love to buy more, but the size S is gone. I tried a M, in hopes of getting another pair that might be acceptable though not as flattering, but I really need the S (my usual size if the waistband is not too tight). If you can use one of the larger sizes that are left, I think you'll be happy with the slender look. The waistband is comfortable for a size S, with a relatively thin elastic cord inside a wider waistband, that doesn't cut in too much. My waist is not small in proportion to my hips and thighs (at age 62, with 2 kids, I certainly don't have a wasp waist). I'll have to satisfy myself with the one size S I got earlier. I bought the grill and black combination, and having the black up the back is slenderizing. These pants are very stretchy and comfortable, lightweight and soft. If you need more compression to smooth your hips or thighs out, these may not be the best pants for you. They don't squish you in, which I find to be a plus.

Loved the pants and am disappointed I couldn't buy them in the LONG length that Columbia sometimes offers.... I'm 5'10" and thought I might get away with the regular length so tried them... Just a tad too short for my liking. I'd recommend to anyone if you don't need the extra length.

The pants were good quality though im an AU-12/14 and the L was a bit too big for myself.

I was looking for some water resistant pants for hiking in Ireland. They only had these in L, so I thought I would try, in case they ran small. They don't, they seem to be true to size. I really liked them and hoped they would fit, but had to return. Construction was there, good materials, felt light weight, not too bulky, but I thought they would be more fitted, even if they were the right size, I did not see fitted fit in these. But I would have kept them in a second had they been the right size for me.
