This is a very sporty coat. Your short-haired dog can keep up with all your winter sports in this coat. Like other reviewers I agree it is nice that it wraps around the belly where the dog gets most exposure. Very high quality for the price. The medium fit my medium sized dog's chest, but not his belly. He is a little rounder than the average dog, but I wouldn't say fat. The large fits him as well though I may have to take it in some because it sags. The large also fit my leaner, bigger, pit/boxer mix without being too tight, however he is still growing and would probably grow out of the large before he reaches 1 year (10 months now).

My wife wanted the dog vest for our golden retriever as she runs with him even during cold weather. While the vest is tight in the chest area for him, he has a longer/taller chest than either of the other 2 goldens that we've had, so I think that is a specific irregularity to him. We really like the weight of the vest as well as the ease of putting it on and off. The reflective seams that are sewn into the sides are also a beneficial plus to us as, in the winter, they often run in the dark.

This is a very high quality dog coat; sturdy materials and careful construction. I like that the zipper is placed on the side, so your dog steps into the coat and then you zip it up. Sizing was exact, so make sure you measure your dog before ordering or it will be too tight. She looks very sporty in her new coat!

The reason I wanted this is because, unlike most dog coats, it covers the dog's underbelly. I have an 11-inch tall Jack Russell terrier. Her belly gets filthy in the snowy, slushy weather. I had to exchange the small size for a medium because the small was a bit snug and bit short over the back even though the measurement given in the description appeared to be the right size. I haven't received the medium size yet and hope it's not out of stock because this is a well-made coat.

I will use this when the weather gets colder. I have only tried it on my dog and I like how it fit. It looks nice and was easy to put on.

I have an Old English Sheepdog that I have decided to keep trimmed. I live in NE Pennsylvania and the winters can get brutal. Since the dog is primarily in the house, he'll need some extra warmth when he goes outside thru the dead of the winter. This fits the bill! What I especially like is the fact that you put his front legs thru "arm holes" and wrap the coat around him and zip it up the side. It provides full coverage around the trunk of his body.
