Verified Buyer Reviewed by Riverplayer from Wisconsin on Wednesday, July 22, 2015After realizing columbia has one of the lowest waterproof ratings for their omnitech apparel. I returned these pants. They may have been fine for snow but i was planning on using them as rain pants. As far as columbia in general, i have owned some very nice shirts, pants, and jackets from them.
Reviewed by Dayton from California on Monday, March 9, 2015I would have to pull the pants all the way up pass my belly. The waist is adjustable so that fit fine - I'm waist 31". It is also very tight around the thighs. The material seems good. Returning it.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Nick from Maine from Portland, Maine on Wednesday, December 24, 2014Great pair of pants. Great on a warm day . used in the Fall. They work well. A little baggy but so very wind resistant.
Reviewed by WinterWonderland from Canada on Sunday, February 2, 2014Bought these for my husband. They fit big (in the waist and upper leg area) and are longer than most pairs of shell pants. Material is good quality, just wish they fit better
Reviewed by Jitters from Cottage Grove OR on Sunday, January 19, 2014Having made my 1st and 2nd trips to Antarctica with Columbia's Omni-Heat shell pants without suspenders, I was still very pleased. They did run large and the leg bottoms got quite ragged. So I purchased this pair for their included suspenders, for my 3rd trip. What a difference. No more draggy baggy pants. They still had they extraordinary ability to keep me warm only wearing a pair of long johns under them. Most of the other personnel wore water-proof pants and they were steamy little hot dogs. I was warm, dry, and very comfortable.
Maybe the next version can have knee patches for guys who do a lot of photography on rough terrain.
Question & Answer
They have full length side zips.
“Are these lined with the silver quilted looking product?|or are they just a shell? |is the shell stiff and rugged or light and flimsy?”
The are not insulated, they are a shell with Omni-Heat thermal reflective lining. They are made of a soft sturdy nylon fabric.
