I am a southern california resident and bought this for our fall/winter seasons. The jacket is lightweight even though it is a 3 in one. Feels warm enough for the cold nights here in socal and also keeps my dry when it rains. I haven't experience any extreme cold conditions with the jacket yet so I don't have a review for the colder conditions. I do agree with another review on here that the zippers are kind of ehhh. It would be better if the zippers were together (the inside jacket with the outer jacket). It gets kind of tedious to unzip both zippers to take off the jacket

A nice, stylish jacket with lots of pockets. Lightweight, good sizing for me. Overall however, not the jacket I thought I was getting. This is NOT a winter coat - not even for temperate Seattle. The insulating liner that attaches to the coat is micro-thin and has proved insufficient for me in Seattle's late winter/early spring. It would be better with an additional layer underneath - but that's what I thought was what the liner was going to do for me. Has stood up well to Seattle's interpretation of a heavy shower but I haven't tried it yet in a truly drenching rain. It's an OK knockabout coat for marginal spring/fall weather. Probably going to be too hot for summer but not warm enough for even Seattle's generally modest winters.

Purchased in March, so I can't comment on dead of winter warmth. In moderate weather 25-35 degrees, the coat was comfortable. I do like the flexibility of its layer potential....using the options of the removable liner for somewhat cool weather to wearing an additional fleece or sweater in much colder weather.
The coat is attractive, though with limited flare.
